Gold dips as dollar strengthens 30.3.2017
Gold futures closed lower in the domestic market on Wednesday as the U.S. dollar strengthened on the back of Brexit-induced weakness in the euro. The yellow metal fell on Wednesday as the U.K. government letter formally starting the Brexit process was delivered to the European Council, kicking off two years of negotiations. At the MCX, gold futures for April 2017 contract ended at Rs 28681 per 10 grams, down by 0.58 per cent, after opening at Rs 28,751 against a previous close of Rs 28,848. It touched the intra-day low of Rs 28,626.
