Copper futures were trading lower during the noon trade in the domestic market on Wednesday amid muted demand in the domestic spot markets and profit-booking by speculators.Analysts attributed the fall in copper prices at futures trade to a weak demand at the domestic spot markets amid profit-booking at higher levels, leading to the decline in copper prices in futures trade.At the MCX, copper futures for August 2017 contract was trading at Rs 409.95 per kg, down by 0.27 per cent, after opening at Rs 410.85, against a previous close of Rs 411.05. It touched the intra-day low of Rs 409.50 (at 12:30 hours).
